Most bloggers I know take their work quite seriously and appreciate seeing comments for their efforts.  Comments add value to your work, whether positively or in the form of constructive criticism.

Whether you’re a WAHM blogger or recreational blogger, you should seriously think about installing Comment Luv if you have a self-hosted Wordpress blog. :heart:

I recently installed the plug-in on this Word Press blog, as well as on my Moomette’s Magnificents Reviews product review blog.

CommentLuv enables you to reward your blog readers by leaving a titled link to their last post automatically whenever they comment thus encouraging more comments by more people on more posts!

It has been found to increase comments and traffic to blogs and their commentators. It currently runs as a Wordpress or Drupal plugin.

Whenever I visit another blog ~ whether I’m dropping Entrecards; visiting from a Tweet or just dropping in daily on the many blogs I’ve faved ~ I always enjoy seeing that they have Comment Luv installed.  Not only can I leave my 2-cents, but it also shows my last posts.

I usually read all the comments that have been left on a blog, and frequently visit another commenter if I see in the Comment Luv that they’ve written a post I would be interested in knowing more about.maxine1_1

Besides adding Comment Luv, I now have a widget in the right-hand corner of my blog that says “You Comment, I Follow” ~

meaning I’ll return to your blog and leave a comment. It also leaves a link to the last person who commented on my blog here. Refresh after you leave a comment & see your live link in my sidebar! Photobucket

I’ve also made my blog “NoFollow Free”.  You can read more about that HERE.

Seriously, I highly recommend it. Think of it as Free Advertising for your blog!

    I installed comment luv a while back, and I love it. It helps ME, because I can see what my commenters are doing, too.

    And I actively look for blogs that use it; if I’m doing it, then a lot of other people are too.

    Haven’t gotten to that no follow thing. I think I may have to bake more cookies (long story, involving kid who codes, but requires bribing…)

    Count me in. I’ve been using it for months and LUV it! It’s so easy to use, works well on the site, and is great for both bloggers and readers. Luv the DoFollow option as well. I’v had that since the beginning and never regretted. I do get spammed but thanks to Akismet, it’s never been a problem. Akismet has only missed two UBER SNEAKY spammers and caught about 15 who weren’t and all of those were easy to fix since I do have all my comments moderated. :) I check the comments regularly and always try to write back, both on my site AND on theirs. Makes blogging so much fun! And that’s how we get to meet great blogging friends like y’all :)

    Comment Luv sounds like a great tool. I’ll definitely look into installing it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it will run on blogs other than those using Word Press. We’ll see :-)

    I’m probably one of the very few who just … doesn’t … like Comment Luv. Frankly, I think it looks ugly and is distracting. I always try to uncheck the box when I see Comment Luv being used on a site I’m visiting.

    When I’m entering a blog giveaway, I may have to leave up to six comments or more on the same post. I really don’t think readers need to see the title of my last post over and over again — and I hate having to uncheck the box each time.

    I’m more interested in having a quickly loading site by using less instead of more plugins (that have to make calls to outside sites) when loading my blog.

    Comment Luv is the bomb! I like it because when I leave a comment others can see what I’m writing about. I also love it when I can read what my readers are doing too. I especially like it when I’m running a contest so people can see it and hopefully come on over and enter :-D
