About Cindi (@Moomettes)
A “little” (more than 140 characters) About Me, so you’ll know who I am…. My name is Cindi, and I’m a Mid-Life Baby-Boomer wife of over 30 years; mom of 2 grown daughters; and have 2 young grandchildren. I’m a native of New England, and live in an historic small town in Connecticut. My interests include Vintage Collectibles, shopping and of course, writing! I started blogging to share my experiences as a WAHM, and have really grown to enjoy meeting new friends from all over the globe. Originally I had hoped to promote my eBiz through the blog, as well as to share information with my friends.
I’m the author of the multi-generational Moomette’s Magnificents blog which covers work at home articles, social media, blogging tips and resources, Parenting, Grandparenting as well as eBay and Bonanzle tips. Many of my readers also have written Guest Posts to share their WAHM experiences.
My blog was recently voted and honored as Top 10 WAHM Blogs by Sparkplugging for 2008.
I offer Product Reviews from the viewpoint of an experienced Baby Boomer Mom and Grandmom “who’s been around the block.” I also talk about the personal musings and observations of a Baby Boomer Grandmother from New England, transitioning into retirement and reinventing a second career as a WAHM. Reflections of the trials & tribulations of being a Wife, Mom, Grandmom, Mentor, Boutique eBiz owner & former eBay Power Seller. Family, Women’s & Social Issues, Politics ~ Whatever comes to mind. Hot-Flashing at it’s finest.
Recently I combined Moomettesgram’s Musings, Moomette’s Magnificents Reviews and Mama Mentor blogs into one, which is now simply, Moomette’s Magnificents. I’ve enjoyed creating cooking and baking since I was young, and am the author of Moomettesgram’s Favorite Recipes. Here I share kitchen tips on entertaining including new as well as old- fashioned New England and traditional dishes. You’ll find recipes for appetizers, main meals, casseroles, desserts and salads.
As a Freelance writer, I’m a Type-A Mom Editor for 50-Something Moms. I currently am a Featured Writer for blogging resourses at MomDot. I’m also a Contributing Editor at Roxy’s Best of…Hartford (Connecticut) where I write about everything from restaurant and shopping to art, culture and kid stuff in the Nutmeg State!
I also Freelance and contribute to Associated Content, e-How and am a Squidoo Lensmaster. You’ll also see that I am very passionate about the benefits of online education. After a 20-year break from when I first started college, I received my B.S. degree in Business Administration with a minor in Sociology from the University of the State of New York while in my 40s. Afterwards, I then went on to complete another A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude, all while working full-time and raising a family.
For over 30 years I have been in the professional field of Law in the capacity as a Paralegal as well as Legislative, Regulations and Research Analyst, in both the public and private sectors. Taking my Paralegal Experience one step further, I have now established my website at CAM Virtual Assistant Services, and offer freelance Virtual Assistant Services for all your business and blogging needs. After being employed in the business community for many years as a Paralegal, I’m looking forward to retirement, being a Work-at-Home Grandma and sharing tips with all my fellow Baby Boomers on how to successfully transition from commuter to eBiz Mompreneur! I started my online presence by opening an eBay store and quickly becoming a Power Seller. I now have a booth at Bonanzle, the newest online marketplace. Moomette’s Magnificents specializes in vintage Sewing Patterns & more.
Besides Twitter, you’ll find me active in the social blogosphere, where I’m known as “Moomettesgram.” I participate in social media networking groups such as Facebook, Twittermoms, Mom Fuse, Moms United in Business and MomDot and Mom Blogger’s Club, where I’m a MBC Ambassador, as well as an Ambassador for MomItForward #GNO.
