Natural Parenting made EASY and AFFORDABLE!

Baby Go Green features Natural Parenting Products,
Made Easy and Affordable!

The new luv of my life arrived on August 5, 2008.  I now have a new Grandson!

This is going to be quite an experience for me, after having 2 daughters, and one granddaughter.  Not only do I not really know how to shop for anything remotely connected to entertaining toddler boys, but I’m not great at picking out clothes for them either!

To my rescue comes Baby Go Green ~ Natural Parenting Made Easy & Affordable!

I did a Product Review for Lori, a WAHM of 3 girls earlier this summer highlighting the wonderful Fuzzy Farm Puzzle.

Now that Slugger’s on deck, I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you about the 100% Organic Baby Clothes that Baby Go Green has to offer.

The UTN Union Suit HIPPO is a  cozy suit that is  great for outings or just around the house.  Made with the finest 100% Organic Egyptian Cotton, Slugger will be comfortable and cozy in this super-soft outfit that is suitable for wearing through the rest of the Summer through Fall, here in New England.  It has plenty of thin snaps for comfort and easy changing.  And do I need to mention how breathable natural cotton is?

Available in Sizes Newborn ~ 3 Months & Sizes 6 ~ 9 Months

USD $24.00

Olympic Hope ~ Page Rank Olympics Contest ~ Bejing 2008

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Hope springs eternal, and after watching the Opening Ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games, I have renewed hope in the future of the world.

This quote is from Matt, over at Meltwater. Torrents. Meanderings. Delta.

Much like China showcasing itself to the world, Matt is himself reaching out to all of us to pay attention to what is going on across the oceans.   An inspiring, insightful, thoughtful, articulate writer ~ I encourage you to visit M.T.M.D. and read up on his thoughts concerning China and the 2008 Olympics and what certainly promises to be an historic event.

While you’re there, M.T.M.D. is sponsoring the Page Rank Olympics Contest. The blog that increases the most in both Google Page Rank and Technorati Authority will win the Gold Medal $100 Grand Prize.

Moomettesgram’s Musings is entering the contest with a PR 3, Technorati 80 (help me out here everyone ~ Fav me if you like this post!)

Blog the Recession ~ Join the Movement ~ Leave Linky Luv!

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

Let’s Help the Blogosphere fight the Recession!  Motherhood Uncensored (and I do mean uncensored, so consider yourself forewarned) is a gal after my own heart.  We Baby Boomers always did luv to participate in “A Cause.”

I was over at MomDot and saw their blog post about how Kristen thinks we should all surf a few new blogs, leave comments, and drop linky luv!  I agree!  You get to meet new friends, develop new ideas, and keep those  brain cells active (especially if you’re like me!)  Here’s  a direct quote from Kristen’s blog to get you to join the bandwagon:

The premise is simple. If you read blogs, then for the month of August, make the “pledge” to click through from your feed reader. No obligation to leave a hilarious comment or send a long stalkerish email (although both, within reason, are always lovely). Just click through to the blog (not on ads unless you are so led) and if you’re feeling generous, click around to their older posts.

Just those extra page views can make a big difference for bloggers who could really use the help…

If you feel like hopping on the bandwagon (c’mon, it’s fun and I’m a really great driver), then all you need to do is grab a button — see below, slap it on your blog, and [beg, plead] ask your readers to click through on their feed readers or blogrolls and do the same within a post.

Send me the link to your post and I’ll link you up here and enter you to win some *fantastic prizes.

I actually saw MomDot’s Twitter post, which got me there in the first place!

So start with me ~ leave me a comment, and let me know what you think!  If you’re new to my blog, check out my archives and read some of my older posts.  You’ll be in for a Ride if you do!

Everything Including the Kitchen Sink For Your Theater Style Seating Rec Room!

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

I recently did a post on how I attended a backyard barbecue at the home of my niece who recently got married last weekend.  The young couple is fresh out of college within the last few years, and has a rec room (is that what they’re still called?) that’s to die for.

There’s theater style seating, a bathroom, surround sound, plasma TV, and a wet bar!

Even after 34 years of marriage, this Baby Boomer is still not able to keep up with the Joneses!

If you’re in the market for bar sinks for a kitchen makeover or home improvement project ~ such as updating your rec room or great room, check out the Kitchen Sink Outlet.  You’ll find brands from Kohler, American Standard and more!

The Joneses will then have to keep up with you!

Getting Ready to Travel this Summer or Cubicle Dweller? Don’t Freeze!

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

Cabin_cuddler

Since it’s summer now, everywhere I go there’s air conditioning running. I really like hot, humid weather, and am not an aficionado of air conditioning, unless it’s absolutely necessary.

I freeze when I ride in the car with my husband, as the air’s always on full-blast. When I’m in my home office, I have to wear a sweater because the air conditioning is running full-stream ahead coming in from the living room.

As many of my readers are aware, I really want to retire from my cubicle job. Do I have to tell anyone who works in an office about air conditioning? In my building, some people are fortunate enough to have offices located in the inner-sanctuary. Me? I’ve been ostracized and relagated to the North Pole. Actually, I think that’s how they get many Baby Boomers to retire early ~ freeze us out. Now that’s not too bad if you’re having a Hot-Flash day, but when you’re not ~ granny needs an afghan.

Now there’s an answer to the office freezer syndrome! There’s a nifty, new trendy product called the Cabin Cuddler.

If you work in a cold office with men who have the temperature at 65 degrees because they are all wearing suits and you want to wear a cute dress but can’t (or can but have to wrap a sweater or jacket around your legs) because you’ll freeze, the Cabin Cuddler is for you. It’s discrete but entirely functional.

**[PRODUCT FEATURES]
o Tote bag turns into your own personal hygienic pillow case
o Comes with it’s own inflatable pillow
o Patented pocket always keeps your feet warm
o Contour cut of the blanket covers every inch of your body

This would even be a great idea to take in the car when you’re traveling!

Forget the granny square afghans ~ check this out for a chic look  ~ and save and conserve energy too by turning down that air conditioning thermostat!

Diaper Wipe Cases from Cozy Cuddlez ~ A Review

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

VOTE FOR ME ~ KEEP ME ON TOP ~ I’M A TOP MOMMA ~

Click the Button to Keep Me On Top!

I'm a Top Mommma!

Now that I’m going to be a Grandma again for the second time, I’m so happy to be on the lookout for cute hand crafted baby items!   When I had more time, I was quite crafty.   I always used to love dressing my two girls in feminine little outfits, and the girls always enjoyed “accessorizing.” They still do!

There are so many talented, artistic moms around today, and I love to feature their “indie” hand crafted wares.

Today I am featuring a new item from Cozy Cuddlez. Valery is an artistic mom with a sharp eye for the unusual, and creates Diaper Wipe Cases. Each handcrafted Diaper Wipe Case comes stocked with wipes already in them.

These are so cool. The trendy Pink and Brown one that I received is well crafted, with attention being made to all fine details. The cases is somewhat padded; the horizontal lines on the fabric are straight and; all edges are securely finished. I especially like the silver heart “bling” as an extra bonus ~ it reminds me of the hardware on a Brighton purse that I have!

Valery’s website description states:

You can use these for just about anything. The ideas are endless. Mini First Aide Kit, Coupon Holder, Make up case. Throw one in your purse, glove box or diaper bag. This would be a perfect Baby Shower Gift as well.

At Cozy Cuddlez, Valery will also custom design a case for you if you are looking for something special.

The cases are priced at USD $15 before S/H. Visit Cozy Cuddlez and start your holiday shopping early! Choose a unique, thoughtful gift for your favorite Mommy (or even Grandma!)

Hope The Bride and Groom Sign up For Travel Health Insurance for their Island Honeymoon When Riding Scooters!

Friday, July 18th, 2008

It’s been a very busy, hectic summer here in Dysfunction Junction, Connecticut.

I’ve mentioned that I’m impatiently awaiting the birth of Slugger, although probably not as impatiently as DD.  And then I have my niece’s upcoming wedding, at one of the premier wedding shindig spots in the area.

Last night I took a little “Mommy” time for me (yes, even though my moniker here is ‘Moomettesgram,’ I’m still foremost a Mommy to my own kiddos).

Where was I?  Oh, ya.  I’m sporting a new ‘do now for the rest of the summer.  My hairdresser was prego, and took some time off, so rather than take a chance with someone else, I skipped a few appointments.  Now I’m back to looking like a Hot Mama (oh yes - don’t forget to vote for me on the sidebar for Hottest Mommy Blogger!) You can also Keep Me on Top Momma too by voting here:

I'm a Top Mommma!

Anyways, the Blushing Bride and her Soon-To-Be Groom are headed off to the islands for their honeymoon.

I hope they sign up for travel health insurance.

Head on over to my Mama Mentor Blog if you want to know what happened to me when my hubby and I won a trip to Bermuda and took the fateful scooter trip less than 24 hours after we arrived. Wish I had purchased travel health insurance then.

First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes Grandma Pushing ~ Baby Strollers!

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Many of my faithful readers know that I’m soon to be a Grandma again for the second time.

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

My oldest daughter and Charming Son-In-Law are expecting their second child, a boy this time, at the end of July or beginning of August. There’s no name picked out for this little guy yet, so I just call him ‘Slugger.’ His dad was a 4-year letter-winner lefty pitcher in college, and could have been destined for the big-time, had he not fallen in love with my daughter.

I threw a huge Baby Shower when my daughter was expecting ‘Lil Moomette, who’s now 20 months old. Many of the baby items can be used again, but my daughter’s definitely going to need a new stroller. As I bought the first crib, I’ll most likely will also be in the market for trendy baby strollers.

Since I’m an avid online shopper, I’ll be checking out double strollers from top brands like Graco, Chicco, Maclaren and Joovy.

Why does shopping always give this Baby Boomer Grandma such great pleasure?
