Sugar Scrubs and More: Sweetly You – Review

I live in New England, and in winter, our furnace is constantly going.  We have gas, forced hot-air heat, which is really drying to your skin.

As much as I say I’m going to try, I don’t seem to be able to get to a spa for a pedicure, massage or facial.  Thus, I’m left to my own devices.  Keeping my skin moisturized is a constant battle, especially now that I’m a Baby Boomer.

Our family has expanded within the last few years, and I have two grandchildren now.  There’s also several weddings coming up, and I’m sure it won’t be too long before I’ll be invited to many baby showers for the expectant mothers-to-be and have found the perfect gift to give.

Most children love to play dress-up and ‘Lil Moomette is no exception.

Labor Day weekend is the start of many county and local fairs here in New England. Our family visited a small local agricultural fair today and I picked up some colorful Mardi-Gras type beads for Moomette that matched her dress. She loved them!

My husband and I just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and the kids surprised us by throwing a surprise party for us.

Most children love animals and ‘Lil Moomette is no exception.

As a matter of fact, it’s ironic that my husband and I had a dog before we had our girls, and ‘Lil Moomette’s parents had a dog and a cat before ‘Lil Moomette was in the picture.

Music Box CD – Children’s Music By Mary Kaye – Review and Giveaway

The first thing that ‘Lil Moomette asks when we get in the car as I pick her and Slugger up from daycare is “put in my CD.” That’s ‘Lil Moomette’s way of saying – I’d like some music on.

I think it’s important that kids today be exposed to many different types of music.  While I tend to listen to Country on the radio while I’m in the car (no Sirius for us), my husband tends to listen to Rock.  Whatever it is that my daughters listen to if they borrow my car, I tend to change the station right away as soon as I regain possession.
