Timeless Bliss

I’m delighted and honored to announce that I’ve been asked to be the new Editor of the Timeless Bliss channel for Mature and Baby Boomer women at Blissfully Domestic.

Blissfully Domestic is one of the premier online magazines on the internet today.

We are a perfect example of the strength of women coming together to share our knowledge, speak our minds and support each other. The 300+ Blissfully Domestic Divas, our writers, love sharing their knowledge and expertise with our readers. We all work together to build the magazine that reflects YOU, the reader, your interests, your life, and your bliss.

It’s ironic that I’m making this announcement during January, as just this past weekend I celebrated yet ~ another birthday! At least I’m still above ground.

Within the last two years, I’ve taken on an additional role besides that of being a wife, mom, mother-in-law, sister & friend.  I’ve become a Grandmom to two beautiful grandchildren:   a granddaughter who just turned 2, and a grandson who is now 5 months old.

This transformation has given me time to reflect on how women of my generation now view themselves. My own Nana lived to be 101 years old. While she became a grandmom in her 50s as I did, her interests were quite different than the women of today.

The vision of the Timeless Bliss channel is to gather wonderful women writers who all share one common denominator ~ we are aging. However, we are each entering this new phase of our lives bringing experiences shaped by different backgrounds and influencers.

The assembled team of Timeless Bliss Contributing Writers will seek to share their own experiences with readers, add real value to women’s lives as well as ease the transformation process for all as we enter the upcoming challenging times of our maturing, Baby Boomer years.

Some of the topics that we will be covering include Empty Nesting; Women’s Health; Disabilities, STAR (Second-Time-Around Relationships);  Retirement and Grief.

Also included are posts on Beauty, Cooking, Crafts and Hobbies,  Frugal Living, Style and Travel.

Whether you’re single, married, divorced, in a relationship or widowed, have a passel full of children, grandchildren or are childless ~ Timeless Bliss will offer something for everyone!

Capture That Moment in Time Through Photography ~ Before It’s History

This week has been both exciting and tumultuous for my family. I’m coming down from the high of becoming a grandmother for the second time. It’s both exhilarating and exhausting.

In between all the excitement and responsibilities (i.e., being on red-alert for babysitting ‘Lil Moomette whilst her parents were at the hospital), I’ve had to remember to re-charge the battery on my Canon Powershot camera.

My poor cameras take such a beating. This is actually my second Canon. Last October, my first camera went swimming in the pool at a wedding. I was having my photo taken poolside, and one of the ushers tackled my sidekick, and the camera I was holding did a slow-mo into the pool. Luckily, all the photos on the memory card survived, as I removed it quickly, but the camera was toast.

It’s time to replace once again the one I’m now using. Being a Power Seller, you wouldn’t believe some of the motions I have to go through to try to capture just the right angle on some pictures for my listings. This camera took a dive off a step stool so I’ll be placing an order soon for a new one!

I’ll be needing it to capture all those priceless moments of Moomette’s upcoming second birthday!

Introducing my New Blog ~ Moomette’s Mama Mentor ~ Personal Musings

I’d like to thank all my loyal readers of Moomettesgram’s Musings. Your emails and comments have inspired me to split off and create a whole separate new blog.

I’ve decided to split Moomettesgram’s Musings in half. While I’ve been covering a lot of base with work-at-home tips for WAHMs and WAHDs; parenting, grandparenting and ebiz & eBay tips, I’d also been adding in some musings.

My newly launched blog is Moomette’s Mama Mentor Blog where I feel I’ll be able to muse to my heart’s content on a different level.

My primary reason for establishing Mama Mentor is that I’ve grown to enjoy blogging. Having joined Entrecard and Mom Blogs has pointed me in the direction of many, many wonderful blogs that focus primarily on reflections and general family life!

Now that my family is grown, and growing again, there’s so much I’d like to reflect on personally, and Mama Mentor will be that vehicle!

Moomettesgram’s Musings Blog – Out of the Gate – November 2007

Hi & Welcome to my new Blog!
I’m Cindi – and Grandmom to one granddaughter (aka Moomette) and another on the way in 2008. I named my store after her. You can read more on my About Me page! I’m a Baby Boomer, and looking forward to retirement – not soon enough!
I opened Moomette’s*Magnificents on eBay where I specialize in Upscale New & EUC Womens, Childrens, Mens Clothing, Accessories, eBooks, Mugs, Vintage Collectibles & Hard-to-Find Cosmetics, in advance of that date to get it up and running so that I will be able to Work-At-Home ~ my retirement dream!
I enjoy shopping (both buying & selling) and eBay fulfills both.
As a Boomer, and being somewhat computer savy – the Internet has always facinated me. After a gap of many years, I took advantage of the Internet and took several online courses to finish and completed my B.S. in Business & Sociology in my 40s while working full time with a house & kids. It can be done!
So it’s just a natural for me to open up my eBay store ~ Moomette’s*Magnificents.
I hope through this blog to encourage other Boomers and SAHMs how to go about opening up a store, create support networks and overcome any obstacles you’ll encounter along the way.
And of course….you’ll hear me brag about ‘lil Moomette’s accomplishments along the way!
