Lullaby Renditions
Music for Children and Parents
When my youngest daughter, now 22, was a baby she had a difficult time settling down to go to sleep.
That was back in the 1980’s and we would place a tape player near her crib or bed and play her favorite music tunes, lullaby’s or books on tape for her to listen to. Eventually she’d fall asleep and we would turn the tape player off.
Times have changed in those 20-something years, and I’m pleased to have had the opportunity to review the Rockabye Baby CD – Lullaby Renditions of Aerosmith.
Rockabye Baby is a record label that releases a line of CDs which turn popular rock bands into lullaby music for babies and parents.
…the label was born of the need to make children’s music cool–not only for babies but for their parents too.
The have lullaby renditions of 25 rock artists including The Beatles, Nirvana, AC/DC, Queen and their most recent album which is about to be released on September 15, 2009 – Lullaby Renditions of Aerosmith which features liner notes by Steven Tyler.
When we played this for Slugger, my one-year old grandson, he immediately reacted with interest to the tunes! As a grandparent, what I liked was listening to the familiar popular music that is now remixed as a lullaby!

Trendy Baby Couture
Baby Bella Maya – Posh Designs for Baby Accessories
< br/>
After my children were grown I had visions of perhaps getting a little sports car to toodle around town in. That vision was only a fleeting thought, as now I’m zipping around town with not one, but two cars seats in the back seat to pick the grandchildren up once daycare is over.
I’ve recently had the opportunity to review a beautiful, designer infant car seat cover from Baby Bella Maya. My grandchildren are now able to travel not only in style, but in comfort. I received the Toddler COUTURE in Ocean Mist, which could be used for either a boy or girl. I really liked the satin-sheen finish and intricate details on the designs. The piping along the edge of the car seat cover is evidence that this is a quality product.
Moms today are fortunate to have so many fashionable and trendy options available to them compared to when I was a young mom.
Baby Bella Maya offers parents a safety benefit not available on other car seat covers: snaps. The covers add style to infant carriers, but in the safest possible way. No need to remove the straps repeatedly in order to keep car seat covers clean. The snaps allow for easy access that does not require removing the car seat’s straps. Simply slide straps through the inserts, snap it up and you are ready to go. Canopies available with trim and ruffle, matching seatbelt pads included.
The covers are made of woven polyester blends and are available in fun animal prints to the luxurious woven damasks. The cover was designed to fit the Britax Marathon car set, however it should fit most other most major brands.
Recommended Cleaning: Hand Wash, cool water, lay flat to dry
Baby bella Maya also offers couture blankets, booties and gift sets as well as a gift registery – perfect for the Baby Showers, Moms-to-Be or holiday gift giving.
Baby Bella Maya is offering Free Shipping all during the month of July!
Available in Select Retail locations.
Suggested Retail: $70-80 depending on choice of fabric.

Baby Go Green ~ Fuzzy Farm Animal Puzzle ~ A Review
July 15, 2008 by Moomette's Magnificents (Admin)
I am so pleased to have the opportunity to review a delightful product from Baby Go Green!
Baby Go Green features Natural Parenting Products, Made Easy and Affordable!
Lori, a busy WAHM of 3 girls, is the site’s owner and has been in business since late 2007. Lori was kind enough to send me a Hand-Crafted Fuzzy Farm Animal Puzzle to review.
My oldest DD is expecting her second child very shortly, and I’ve been assigned the task of picking up ‘Lil Moomette from daycare and bringing her to my house until Charming Son-In-Law picks her up after work. Therefore, I’m always eager to try and keep new toys on hand to keep the little darling toddler occupied until the magic hour arrives.
I surprised ‘Lil Moomette, my 20-month old granddaughter when I picked her up from day care, and we experimented with the puzzle together. This is a terrific first wooden puzzle that encourages creative play. The puzzle pieces are just the right size for little toddler hands to grasp and have matching pictures underneath.
Each barnyard animal is covered in soft felt so as to stimulate the sense of touch, feel & imagination in your child.

The puzzle itself measures 0.51″ x 9″ x 12″ assembled. The animals include a cow, duck, lamb and pig.
What I liked about this toy is that it helped ‘Lil Moomette to identify her colors, facial features (ears, eyes, nose, mouth) as well as feet and tail! Moomette was able to practice learning to identify a fence, water (swim swim), butterfly, flowers & more. The puzzle packed quite a bit of creativity into one activity toy!
When the pieces are removed, there are facsimiles underneath to help your child put the pieces back in the proper place.
The wooden puzzle is hand-crafted, and all the edges were very smooth, with no rough edges for little fingers. No worries there!
Recommended Ages: 1+ year(s)
Baby Go Green also features Cloth Diapers and Diaper Covers, Blankets, Bedding, Accessories & Gifts for Mama and Baby.

Introducing my New Blog ~ Moomette’s Mama Mentor ~ Personal Musings
April 25, 2008 by Moomette's Magnificents (Admin)
Filed under baby boomer, family, parenting, work at home

I’d like to thank all my loyal readers of Moomettesgram’s Musings. Your emails and comments have inspired me to split off and create a whole separate new blog.
I’ve decided to split Moomettesgram’s Musings in half. While I’ve been covering a lot of base with work-at-home tips for WAHMs and WAHDs; parenting, grandparenting and ebiz & eBay tips, I’d also been adding in some musings.
My newly launched blog is Moomette’s Mama Mentor Blog where I feel I’ll be able to muse to my heart’s content on a different level.
My primary reason for establishing Mama Mentor is that I’ve grown to enjoy blogging. Having joined Entrecard and Mom Blogs has pointed me in the direction of many, many wonderful blogs that focus primarily on reflections and general family life!
Now that my family is grown, and growing again, there’s so much I’d like to reflect on personally, and Mama Mentor will be that vehicle!
You’ll find the link at the top of this site under “My Other Blog.” Please stop on by and leave some comments!
I hope you’ll join me on my journey.
