Thanks for the giveaway…The eco-trend and innovation I found most interesting (and which we have already adopted in our home) is the use of “smart” power strips to eliminate wasteful standby power (”vampire power”) that leaks to your electronic devices i.e. TV, computer, printer, etc., so you reduce energy consumption, save money, and lower your overall impact on the environment.

I read an interesting article about leasing solar panels for installation on a home. This reduces the up front costs a lot. In our house, one way we are going green is to buy used and to sell things when we are done with them. A good example is books, which we both sell and buy used.
