Kitchen Clean Up Solutions | Original Dish Drying Mat | Organize Your Home

Even though this old house has a modern dishwasher, I’m still the chief cook and bottle washer when it comes to cleaning up after breakfast, lunch or dinner. Thanks to Schroeder & Tremayne, Inc., the innovative makers of The Original™ Dish Drying Mat, my job just got easier!

How to Organize Your Home

In many families, whoever does the cooking normally doesn’t have to do the clean-up, but not so here in Dysfunction Junction. As chief-mom and grandmom in the Frugal New England Kitchen, I plan, shop, prepare, cook, serve meals and am on KP duty afterwards. The dishes and silverware are hand rinsed and placed in the dishwasher. The pots and pans are soaked, and either hand-washed or then placed in the dishwasher.

What’s nice about the Original Dish Drying Mat is that whatever dishes or pots, pans, stemware or glassware don’t go in the dishwasher, can be hand washed and safely dried on the absorbent dish drying pad instead of in a dish drainer rack! This is especially true for my fine china, dinnerware and crystal wine glasses that I pull out of the hutch when entertaining for holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas or special occasions. I don’t want to risk having them break in the dishwasher, as many are vintage heirlooms. A great way to get your home organized!

Dish Drying Mat is the new solution to the age old tradition of placing dish towels on the counter when hand washing pots, pans, dishes, and glassware.

The unique, laminated design combines a thin layer of foam between two layers of high quality, super absorbent microfiber.

  • Superior absorbency; holds 4 times its weight in water
  • Cushions delicate dishes and stemware
  • Machine washable and highly durable
  • Folds and stores easily
  • Has multiple uses; try it underneath your dish drying rack in place of the plastic drain board. Place it underneath your appliances (mixer, blender, etc.) to protect your counter top from scratches and scuffs.
  • 16″ x 18″

The Original Dish Drying Mat is also available in additional sizes and colors, including XL – 18″ x 24″ in Green, Gray, Red and Cream.

Caring for your Dish Drying Mat is easy!  For best results, allow The OriginalTM Dish Drying Mat to thoroughly dry between uses. Frequently machine wash with like colors in cold water using liquid detergent, and before first use. Tumble dry low. Do not iron. Do not use bleach, fabric softener or dryer sheets.

You’ll also find that they offer Dish Drying Gloves, Microfiber Kitchen Towels and Microfiber Cleaning Cloths.  It’s a perfect gift for upcoming bridal showers, wedding gifts or launching the new graduate for dorms or apartments!
