Glamping On Cape Cod | Cape Cod Campgrounds | Cape Cod Resorts

Our family enjoys camping and takes several vacation camping trips a year in the pop-up camper.  Our last trip of the summer season is going to be visiting a State Park Campgrounds.  But really, my most enjoyable camping trip was luxury glamping at a Cape Cod family campground!

Luxury Camping
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind “roughing” it at a state campground – we’ve enjoyed some great vacations at Hammonasset State Park and Rocky Neck State Park in Connecticut, as well as Pawtuckaway State Park in New Hampshire, snakes and all.  Most had free showers, and hot water.  One was a hike through the woods at night and an almost fatal encounter with a skunk (Read – I almost had a heart-attack) to use pay-showers.  We’ve even stayed and had a great time at a KOA campground in Vermont!

What Is Glamping?

I once had a sister-in-law who said if it wasn’t nicer than her house, it wasn’t a vacation.  Actually, to each their own, and everyone may have their own opinion of what is glamping, or what is a resort.

For me when I want to go glamping,  it means just simple amenities on days when it’s too hot out; too cold out; too rainy to stay outside or holed up in a tent or popup camper with the little ankle biters kids or grandkids and I become like Goldilocks.

This particular Cape Cod campground had all the comforts of home!

Glamping Entertainment Room
Entertainment lounge, with DVD, books, magazines

Camping Lounge Room
Camping Lounge with free internet wifi that reached all the way to the RV and tent sites! Great for bloggers *wink*

Campground Game Lounge
Chess or Checkerboard Game Table

Campground Arcade Game Room

Campground Laundromat
A separate campground laundromat laundry room, with oversized washers, dryers and folding table!

Cape Cod Campground Store
A campground general store, that sells eggs, milk, butter, ice cream, sundry items, first aid supplies, souvenirs and trinkets, camping supplies, firewood, daily newspaper, sweatshirts, clothing, morning coffee and more!

The Cape Cod National Seashore Beaches – Coast Guard Beach, Nauset Beach and Marconi Beach a just a short bike ride away along the easily accessible Rail Trail.  Now there are signs to be mindful of the Great White Sharks when you put your toes in the ocean !
