Well, season is over and let the games begin!
My favorite former supervisor retired about 5 years ago. When we sharedspace together we got along like cats and dogs. We even got “divorced” towards the end, and I moved to my own separate cubicle.
But you know how they say “absence makes the heart grow fonder?” We still keep in contact. It goes something like this. He’s a former military man, (Retired) as well as a huge of the Yankees baseball. When spring training begins in each season, he and his wife of over 50 years become snowbirds and head south, settling in at one of those military hotels. He has season tickets to all the spring training games.
I get emails with pictures of him and his wife at the pool. I get pictures of him and his wife at the games. Sometimes I get phone calls.
