Fun Things To Do With Kids
Roger Williams Park Zoo
This summer my we visited with my daughter and grandkids, and spent a wonderful 5 hours viewing exotic animals and having a picnic lunch.
Roger Williams Park Zoo is one of the oldest in nation, opened in 1872. It is hosts exhibits of over 100 animal species from all over the world. It’s extremely clean. There are family-friendly rest rooms for changing infants – we even brought my 6 month old granddaughter along !
One of Roger Williams Zoo’s famous events held in the fall is the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. We hope to get to see that this autumn.
There’s plenty of shaded walking paths, and refreshments if you don’t bring your own lunch.
The grandkids enjoyed riding a camel
And seeing Flamingos, llamas, bison, ant eaters, a bat cave, elephants, exotic birds, zebras and more !
There’s a terrific gift shop where you are able to pick up souvenirs, and help to support conservation efforts.
The zoo offers a Discount for members of the Military and their family.
