Walk To Support Research for Breast Cancer

Share

There aren’t too many of us who don’t either have a member of our family or perhaps friend of the family who hasn’t been affected by Breast Cancer. Since it’s hit very close to home, I’m much more aware of the tremendous need for funds to further research to eradicate this disease.

From April 1, 2009 through October 31, 2009 Bumble Bee Foods will donate 15-cents per mile for every mile logged at BeeWellMiles.com (up to $200,000) to help the Breast Cancer Network of Strength provide emotional support to those who can’t wait another day for a cure.

I have a treadmill that I use during the winter months, and normally average about 20 minutes per day on it, or about 1 mile. During the warmer months here in New England, I walk outside with a group of co-workers during lunch, again averaging about 1 mile per day.

You can now log the miles you walk or run in one day on BeeWell Miles and see how much of a difference you have made!

In addition to being on the path towards a healthier lifestyle, you will have all the resources you need to take advantage of it. There are healthy living experts, nutrition tools and more.

You can make a difference in not only your waistline, but for a good cause too!

  1. I’m working on this too. Even though I take my scooter to Disney with me, I’ll be tracking the miles I walk. There’s still plenty of walking around the hotel, in the stores, in the attractions and when I’m indoors. Plus I do as much walking as possible. Every little bit helps.
